We would like to take this opportunity to talk a little bit about our clinic and the services we offer.
We are a fully accredited small animal hospital. We perform different surgeries varying from spays and neuters, to orthopedic (bone), eye and gastrointestinal surgeries. We use the safest possible anesthetic agents and monitor each patient’s heart with an electrocardiogram and breathing with a special monitor during surgery. Each client that brings their pet in for surgery is offered pre-anesthetic bloodwork, designed to increase the safety of surgical procedures. We perform almost all surgical procedures using CO2 Laser which reduces pain and bleeding and shortens surgical recovery time.
We now offer Laser Therapy in our continuing effort to provide the best pain management possible. Multi-wavelength laser therapy (MLS) is a new technology that helps in reducing chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis as well as assisting in healing by stimulating collagen production at the site of injury and/or surgery. Results on our patients to date have exceeded our expectations in increasing mobility and speeding wound healing.
We have in-house laboratory facilities, and we are able to perform most of the regular diagnostic tests needed. This allows us to get fast, accurate results, and to start appropriate therapy the same day that your pet is brought to us. Some tests that we perform here are complete blood counts, biochemistry and electrolyte profiles, preanesthetic blood screens, urinalysis, feline viral tests, and canine parvovirus tests. We still send some samples to an outside laboratory to perform the less common tests.
We have a radiology unit and automatic processor that allows us to take x-rays and develop them in a short time. We have fibreoptic endoscopes that allow us to look inside stomachs, colons, nasal passages and lungs and obtain biopsy samples without performing surgery. We can also retrieve small foreign bodies from animal’s stomachs with the endoscopes. We have a dental unit including dental drills, which allows us to perform efficient teeth cleanings and extractions.
